1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Lingvoo ("the app", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Lingvoo is a mobile language learning application that helps users learn English through interactive lessons, quests, and gamified challenges. The app provides:

Structured English lessons at various proficiency levels.
Vocabulary and grammar exercises.
A quest-based learning system with XP rewards.
Progress tracking with streaks, achievements, and leaderboards.
Personalized learning paths based on user goals and proficiency.

3. Educational Content and Sources

All lesson content in Lingvoo is original content created by the Lingvoo development team. Our educational methodology and content structure are informed by the following widely recognized standards and resources:

CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages): Our proficiency levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) follow the CEFR framework, which is the international standard for describing language ability. Lesson difficulty and vocabulary targets are aligned with CEFR level descriptors.
Oxford Word List / Oxford Learner's Dictionaries: Vocabulary selection is guided by high-frequency English word lists published by Oxford University Press, ensuring learners focus on the most useful and commonly used words.
Cambridge English Assessment: Grammar topics and exercise formats are inspired by Cambridge English exam preparation materials and their publicly available learning resources.
Spaced Repetition Methodology: Our learning system incorporates spaced repetition principles, a well-established cognitive science technique for long-term vocabulary retention.

Lingvoo does not reproduce or redistribute any copyrighted materials. All sentences, exercises, translations, and quiz content are originally authored for the app. The above sources serve only as pedagogical references for content design and level alignment.

4. Account Registration

To use Lingvoo, you may need to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information.
Keep your login credentials confidential and secure.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for an extended period.

5. Demo Mode

Lingvoo offers a demo mode that allows users to explore the app without creating an account. Demo mode data is stored locally on your device and is not synced to our servers. Demo mode data will be lost if the app is uninstalled or data is cleared.

6. User Conduct

When using Lingvoo, you agree not to:

Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, other accounts, or our systems.
Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the app.
Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality or servers.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
Manipulate the XP system, leaderboard, or achievement system through unfair means.
Create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages.

7. Intellectual Property

All content within the app, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, lesson content, and software, is the property of Lingvoo and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our content.
You may not use our branding, logos, or trademarks without written permission.
Lesson content is provided for personal, non-commercial educational use only.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Lingvoo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of lesson content.

Lingvoo is an educational tool and does not guarantee any specific learning outcomes, language proficiency improvements, or certification results.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lingvoo and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

Loss of data or progress.
Loss of profits or revenue.
Interruption of service.
Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

10. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

Modify, update, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time.
Change lesson content, XP values, or gamification mechanics.
Reset leaderboards periodically.
Add or remove features without prior notice.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if:

You violate these Terms of Service.
Your account is used for fraudulent or abusive activities.
Required by law or legal process.

Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Turkey.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
